4A Reports 3% Decrease In Production Cost

The average cost to produce a 30-second, national TV commercial in 2000 was $332,000 - down 3 % ($11,000) from the previous year - according to the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's) 2000 Television Production Cost Survey. This decrease of 2000 follows the largest increase of 13% between 1998 and 1999.

The increase reported by the 4A's was not seen by BBS clients' commercials average cost, which increased by less than 1% versus1999, from $304,018 to $305,168.
